But B players hire C players, and C players hire D players..' Do you have a team of 100% A-players* in your business? That is: would you enthusiastically re-hire EVERY member of your team if you had to make that hiring decision again right now? In my experience, service-based business owners like you believe that your team is filled with great people. And you're right. However, most of us have a MASSIVE blind spot when it comes to objectively assessing the consistency, competence and culture-fit of our team. Most small, service-based business owners, believe they have a team of A-players. In reality, you most likely have a team of B, C and even some D-player types. And that is not your fault. But it is in your control. A-players hire A-players. Therefore, to hire A-players you must become an A-player. Are you, yet, an A-player? My guess is that you're on your way to becoming an A-player.
